We enter the second round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament on Saturday, March 22
At this point, it’s time to back the dogs from the first round that we think can continue
See below for my +245 March Madness Parlay for Saturday
We’ve made it to the weekend and, honestly, I’m not even tired of basketball yet. I’ve watched every single game so far and it’s been awesome. A gigantic tournament to end the season is definitely the way to go and that fact is proven every single year. We’re down to just 32 teams and, after another two days, we’ll only have 16. It happens fast. Soon, there will be no more basketball to bet on. Not to be a downer, but that’s just the facts. What we need to do at this point is promise ourselves we’ll have one parlay for each day moving forward. That way, when this thing ends, we can say that we left it all out on the court. Feels like the move.

March Madness Saturday Parlay Leg #1 – Drake Is a Live Underdog
One of my favorite second-round moves is to take a Day 1 darling to move on the Sweet 16. There aren’t many to choose from since there really weren’t that many “crazy” upsets. Of the few, Drake jumped out as a team that has what it takes to move on to the second weekend.
They haven’t been this far since the early 70’s so they’re basically playing with house money at this point. That makes them dangerous.
Drake is into the Rd of 32 for the first time since 1971. In the 1st year of Ben McCollum coaching D1 hoops.
31-3 overall
7-0 vs Q1/2
4-0 vs Power conf opp

The other thing that makes them dangerous is the fact that they can ball. They straight-up dominated Missouri which was not an easy task. They held them to 33% shooting while turning them over 16 times. That’s a recipe for success in this tournament.
Things don’t get easier for Drake this round as Texas Tech is one of the best three-point shooting teams in the field. On top of that, they don’t turn the ball over much. Still, in a slow-paced, rock fight type game, if shots aren’t falling from deep like in the first round, the Red Raiders could find themselves in a dog fight. We just need Drake to stay within 7.5. Feels easy.
The Bet: Drake +7.5 (-115) – FanDuel
March Madness Saturday Parlay Leg #2 – Creighton Won’t Go Down Easily
While Drake is fighting for our parlay lives, our other squad will be taking the floor. The Creighton Bluejays were very impressive in the first round and they looked like a team we can trust in the second round. They play with a ton of energy which is big this time of year.
They still had that same energy the next morning.

Energy is one thing but covering for a parlay win is another thing. In my opinion, these kids should not be almost 10-point dogs. They are one of the best shooting teams in the country so “getting hot” is something that could easily happen.
I know they are playing the number one seed in the entire tournament, but we’re not asking them to win outright. Just give Auburn a game. They match up well given the fact that they have a seven-footer that can move. On top of that, they’ve got multiple guys who can create their own shot. They should be able to keep this game within 9.5 points.
If they do, we’ll cash this parlay. Feels right.
The Bet: Creighton +9.5 (-118) – FanDuel
