The RBC Heritage tees off Thursday, April 16, following Rory McIlroy’s Masters title

Scottie Scheffler is the heavy favorite to win after finishing runner-up to McIlroy

After Rory McIlroy won the Masters for the second straight year, becoming the fourth golfer to claim the green jacket back-to-back, the PGA Tour heads to the RBC Heritage. Rory was the +1025 third choice in the Masters odds to win outright, claiming his sixth career major title. Despite the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, South Carolina being a signature event, McIlroy has opted not to tee it up. Scheffler, however, is competing, looking for his second win of 2026.

In this article, I’ll be searching for value for what golfers could win this tournament, which requires players to make birdies in bunches. Three of the last four iterations of this tourney have required a playoff to crown a winner, with Justin Thomas the defending champ.

RBC Heritage Odds (2026)

I’m starting my card this week with a golfer that has been oh-so-close to claiming the famed tartan plaid jacket for winning the tournament in Patrick Cantlay. He’s done everything but win at Harbour Town, with a runner-up (playoff loss) in 2022, and a whopping four third place showings (2017, 2019, 2023, 2024).

The eight-time winner has had something of a victory drought, not lifting a trophy since 2022. That was exactly what the defending champion Justin Thomas had coming into last year’s tourney, where he won to get back on the board.

Odds as of 10:27 pm ET on Sunday, April 12th, at DraftKings. Check out the full list of DraftKings deposit methods.

2025 Justin Thomas
2024 Scottie Scheffler
2023 Matt Fitzpatrick
2022 Jordan Spieth
2021 Stewart Cink

Cantlay’s last two times teeing it up, he’s been solid, with a T-7th at the Valspar Championship, and T-12th at the recently completed Masters. He sports +2200 odds to win outright, which is longer than the top-seven golfers on the board, allowing for some decent value in picking him up.

RBC Heritage 2026 Picks & Value Bets

Sepp Straka +5300: Sepp Straka has four PGA Tour wins to his credit, with the latest being the Truist Championship, a signature event last year. He’s had success at this venue in the past, with a T-3rd in 2022 and T-5th in 2024. He often has odds longer than his close ability should suggest, which is perfect to snag.

Michael Thorbjornsen +6800: I just can’t quit Michael Thorbjornsen, who is a top young prospect that is destined for a breakthrough PGA Tour victory. This season, he was T-3rd at the WM Phoenix Open, a shot out of a playoff, then was in the final group Sunday at the Players Championship. Eventually he’s going to pick off a tournament as he learns how to close out an event, and at +6800, it’s a healthy number.

Daniel Berger +9400: I absolutely love the value on Daniel Berger at this number, which I feel will be bet down as the tournament gets closer. He very nearly won three starts ago, finishing runner-up at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. In his last four attempts at Harbour Town, Berger has a pair of top-3s (2020, 2025), and nothing worse than a tie for 21st.

Brian Harman +12000: Brian Harman is coming off a solid, if unspectacular Masters (T-33rd), which was a remarkable turnaround following a dreadful 79 in the opening round. He loves this track, being inside the top-15 in four of the last five attempts. That’s highlighted by his tie for third a year ago, so at these odds, he’s very intriguing. While winning might be a bit too much of a stretch, he’ll be interesting to monitor in the top 5/10/20 markets.
