Through two rounds, many people were ready to serenade defending champion Rory McIlroy with his second straight green jacket, given that he held a six-shot lead. However, he came back down to earth on Saturday, with several big names shooting blistering scores to make it a tight battle heading into Sunday. McIlroy, who is attempting to become the fourth man to win back-to-back Masters, is tied with reigning Players Champion Cameron Young. A shot back is Sam Burns, with Shane Lowry two adrift.
One of the players just four off the pace is pre-tournament Masters odds favorite Scottie Scheffler, who matched the lowest round of the week, with a 7-under, 65. Young shot that same score on moving day to erase the deficit and tie Rory.
Below, I’ll lay out the leaderboard and odds to win outright, plus offer up a player prop top-ten selection for Sunday’s final round of the 90th Masters Tournament.

| Shane Lowry | +1200 | -9/4th |
| Justin Rose | +1500 | -8/T-5th |
| Jason Day | +2250 | -8/T-5th |

As I predicted in my Masters Odds to win heading into the third round, things wouldn’t be easy for Rory McIlroy, despite the six-shot cushion. He’s hit just 50% of the fairways for the tournament, last of all the competitors to make the cut. The Ulsterman carded his first double bogey of the event at the 11th hole, where he put his approach shot into the creek. McIlroy was still able to scratch and claw to a 1-over, 73, but that let everybody into it.

Conversely, just one player has hit more fairways than co-leader Cameron Young. He fired a brilliant 7-under, 65, with eight birdies and just one dropped shot. He’s attempting to become the third straight player to win the Players Championship, then the Masters the following month (Scheffler, McIlroy). Young started +4 through his first seven holes of this championship, but since then has been flawless, with 17 birdies and just two blemishes.
If I had to select between McIlroy (+146) and Young (+255), to claim the coveted title, I’d still stick with McIlroy, despite his scratchy Saturday. Given that it’s very similar odds, I’ll always err on the side of the proven major winner, and in this case, defending champion.

Masters Final Round Prediction
Two golfers that I was high on before the event started were Patrick Reed and Russell Henley. I’m still glad I have tickets on them, given that they’re on the periphery, five adrift. However, unfortunately, at least historically, they have a low chance of getting the job done.
Rarely does golf offer up the sentimental story that prevails, Gary Woodland two weeks ago at the Houston Open notwithstanding. However, Justin Rose (+1500), is just three behind, and has three career runner-ups at the Masters (two in playoffs in 2017 and 2025). Last year, in order to get into extra holes with McIlroy, he shot an otherworldly 66, paced by a whopping ten birdies in the final round.
Wild stat….
Justin Rose has led after 9 rounds in Masters history. He has never won a green jacket.

I love Rose to mount a comeback at a very reasonable price, as he’s hit 14 greens in regulation in each of the three rounds, giving him plenty of opportunities to post a low number. He’d certainly be a popular winner after so many close calls at Augusta National, and can free-wheel it on Sunday, knowing he needs to go low to win.
Live Masters 2026 Picks & Value Bets Entering Final Round
Shane Lowry +1200 to win outright: I was high on Shane Lowry to continue to close the gap in the third round, and he didn’t disappoint, with a 4-under, 68. That was highlighted by a scintillating hole-in-one on the sixth hole, and he starts just two strokes behind. He’s hit 43 greens in regulation, tied for second most in the field. Lowry is the 2019 Open Championship winner, and has seven other major top-10s in his career to his credit, including a T-3rd at the 2022 Masters.
Tommy Fleetwood +198 for a top-10: Tommy Fleetwood had a very disappointing third round, with the same score as McIlroy (73). He begins two shots off the top-ten, in a tie for 15th. This week, he’s been really strong on the par-5s, going -8 on twelve of them, including a pair of eagles. I expect more of the same from him to be able to rise up the board, given that he’s playing for pride at this point, seven off the lead. The Englishmen has put together a quartet of top-10s in his last five outings, and I expect the same Sunday evening.
