Denver is a 6-point road favorite at OKC
Read on for the odds and Nuggets vs Thunder prediction for Nov. 3, 2022
Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets (4-3, 1-3 away) are back in action Thursday when they visit their divisional rival, the Oklahoma City Thunder (4-3, 3-1 home), at the Paycom Center. The tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 pm ET.
Denver is well-rested, last playing on Sunday when they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers. That ended a two-game winning streak. OKC, meanwhile, is searching for its fourth consecutive victory at home and just beat the Orlando Magic on Tuesday evening behind yet another breathtaking performance from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Denver Looking to End OKC’s Streak
The Nuggets are considered one of the dark horses in the West this season with the return of Michael Porter Jr and Jamal Murray alongside The Joker. So far both guys have missed a few games due to injury management but overall, Denver is looking relatively solid.
Their 26th-ranked defensive rating is nothing to write home about, but Michael Malone’s group is shooting the ball very well from all over, draining 39.4% of their triples and 47.7% of their field goals. Sunday’s loss to the Lakers was by no means a bad showing either, with numerous positive takeaways.
Murray dropped a season-high 21 points, looking more and more like his former self. In fact, every single starter but Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had at least 17 points. Jokic led the charge with 23 points, 14 boards, and six dimes. Los Angeles just frankly outshot them. The key on Thursday is to shut down SGA. He’s the only one on this Thunder roster who can really hurt Denver and to this point, no one has stopped the young guard.

The SGA Show
No one expects Oklahoma City to be a playoff team. There still a ways off contending. But, Gilgeous-Alexander is honestly giving us a glimpse into what the Thunder could truly be capable of when Chet Holmgren and Josh Giddey are also on the floor together as well next season.
SGA is honestly putting up MVP numbers at the moment. The Canadian is averaging 31.5 points, 6.8 assists, and 4.8 rebounds to propel OKC to a 4-3 start. The most impressive part? He’s shooting just 31.8% from long range, which means almost all of his damage is coming inside. Tuesday was once again the Gilgeous-Alexander show, torching Orlando for 34 points on an impressive 12 for 18 clip from the field.
He did get some help, though. Four others finished in double-figures and while Giddey wasn’t one of them, he did dish out 10 dimes and collect seven points. The Thunder actually struggled to shoot the ball from deep but the difference-maker was their ability to capitalize on the Magic’s 24 turnovers, translating them into 30 points.
Nuggets vs Thunder Prediction
OKC is the ATS king right now. They’re playing terrific basketball, especially at home. Whether it’s a slim loss or a win, the Thunder will make it closer than six points, just like their last meeting with Denver.
Pick: Thunder +6 (-110)
