Wolfsburg have signed goalkeeper Alexander Brunst from Hamburg.

Wolfsburg have signed goalkeeper Alexander Brunst from Hamburg.

Hamburg announced that their third-choice goalkeeper had made the switch to the Bundesliga runners-up on Friday.

A statement on Hamburg's official website said: "HSV and Bundesliga title runners-up VfL Wolfsburg have reached agreement on a deal which will take Rothosen third-choice keeper Alexander Brunst to the VW Arena.

"Fellow stopper Tom Mickel will travel with the first team squad to their summer training camp in Switzerland for a trial."

Hamburg director of sport Peter Knabel added of the Brunst deal: "We both decided on the move."
