Second-rated Inter meet Fiorentina in quarterfinals

In-form Lazio take on  tumbling Napoli at San Paolo

Italy’s Coppa Italia is heading towards its last eight stage with Juventus and Internazionale of Milan both hoping it will be part of a domestic double.

Juve coach Maurizio Sarri has never won the competition, although the club has lifted the trophy in four of the five previous seasons.

Neither has Antonio Conte, the boss of Inter who have not won the prize since 2010-11.

Lazio on 10-Win Streak in Serie A

Napoli are priced third among the other leading contenders at +700 with holders Lazio at+800, AC Milan at +1000 and Roma at +1200.

At now +800, Lazio has seen a big move since the tournament began and they were +1600 odds.

At this price, holders Lazio currently look a good value option as they are currently enjoying a stunning run of form with 10 straight league victories.

Juventus lead the Italian Serie A by two points ahead of Inter Milan and third-placed Lazio.

Both Juventus and Inter are competitively priced in the Coppa Italia too, although not as expansively as Lazio.

After only one defeat in all competitions this season, Sarri’s Juventus team entered this season’s Coppa Italia at the last 16 stage and scored a 4-0 victory against Udinese last Wednesday.

Ahead of Sunday’s clash with Parma, they were on a run of four straight league wins.

Roma progressed to the last eight with a 2-0 win away against an under-strength Parma outfit on Thursday.

They last won the Coppa Italia in 2007-08.

Juventus Recently Won in Rome

There was a 2-1 victory for Juventus in Rome on January 12 – offering a form guide to the forthcoming cup tie.

Inter have lost only once in Serie A under in coach Conte’s first season.

They will be much-fancied to progress beyond the Coppa Italia’s last eight when they meet 14th-placed Fiorentina at home at the last eight stage on Wednesday, January 29, at Stadio San Siro, at Milan, 2:45 pm EST.

They entered at the last 16 stage and defeated Cagliari 4-1 at home last Tuesday.

Torino are eighth in Serie A with the fallen giants of Milan in 10th place.

Milan were beaten 2-1 at Torino in September.

Pick: Lazio +800
