England and France head the list of Euro 2020 favorites
Both Irish teams are off to flying starts
Spain, Belgium, and Italy have also won two in two
With the first and second rounds of Euro 2020 qualifying now done and dusted, it’s worth checking out if the favorites are still in line to qualify for the tournament that is being held across several different European cities in June 2020.
Euro 2020 Qualifying Group A Odds
| Team | Euro 2020 Group A Odds |
|---|---|
| England | -6600 |
| Czech Republic | +2000 |
| Bulgaria | +5000 |
| Montenegro | +5000 |
| Kosovo | +15000 |
*Odds taken on 04/03/19
Two wins in two from England have seen them take control of this group even at this early stage. They have carried on their form of last summer’s World Cup and their Nations League qualifying campaign. They look unstoppable.
Euro 2020 Qualifying Group B Odds
| Team | Euro 2020 Group B Odds |
|---|---|
| Portugal | +110 |
| Ukraine | +175 |
| Serbia | +225 |
| Lithuania | +25000 |
| Luxembourg | +50000 |
Two draws in their opening two games was not how the Portuguese had planned it, especially with Cristiano Ronaldo back in the squad. Two unexpected home draws – one with Ukraine, the other with Serbia – have thrown this group wide open. It’s now very much a three-way battle.
The effect was instant, and Germany are clearly the team to beat in this group and are justifiably favorites to win it.
Euro 2020 Qualifying Group D Odds
| Team | Euro 2020 Group D Odds |
|---|---|
| Switzerland | -110 |
| Denmark | +125 |
| Republic of Ireland | +500 |
| Georgia | +10000 |
| Gibraltar | +50000 |
This is a tough group to call and was made even tougher by Denmark scoring two very late goals to earn a 3-3 draw in Switzerland. The Swiss remain favorites but with difficult games ahead in Dublin and Copenhagen we can see them struggling to get top spot in the group.
With Christian Eriksen pulling the strings in midfield, we can see Denmark winning Group D.
Euro 2020 Qualifying Group E Odds
| Team | Euro 2020 Group E Odds |
|---|---|
| Croatia | -250 |
| Wales | +275 |
| Slovakia | +900 |
| Hungary | +1800 |
| Azerbaijan | +15000 |
Croatia’s defeat in Hungary was one of the surprises in Round 2 and threw group E wide open. The Croatians have struggled to replicate their form of last summer’s World Cup, and while they remain favorites to win this group, we’re tempted by the +275 on offer for Wales who have got off to a flyer.
Ryan Giggs has put together a young Welsh team full of skill and pace, and with one Gareth Bale also in their squad, we can see them pipping Croatia to top spot.
Euro 2020 Qualifying Group F Odds
| Team | Euro 2020 Group F Odds |
|---|---|
| Spain | -750 |
| Sweden | +600 |
| Norway | +1600 |
| Romania | +2200 |
| Malta | +50000 |
| Faroe Islands | +100000 |
Despite losing some big names to retirement over the last couple of years, the Spanish production line shows no sign of slowing down. Two wins from two have seen them top the group and we expect them to stay there.
Euro 2020 Qualifying Group G Odds
| Team | Euro 2020 Group G Odds |
|---|---|
| Poland | -300 |
| Austria | +450 |
| Israel | +450 |
| Slovenia | +2000 |
| Macedonia | +6600 |
| Latvia | +50000 |
Group G is not the strongest and it was no surprise to see Poland take charge of the group after the opening two rounds. What was a surprise was to see Austria – the group’s second favorites before a ball had been kicked – lose their first two games. As a result, we expect the Poles to see the job through.
Euro 2020 Qualifying Group H Odds
| Team | Euro 2020 Group H Odds |
|---|---|
| France | -1200 |
| Turkey | +700 |
| Iceland | +1200 |
| Albania | +6600 |
| Moldova | +100000 |
| Andorra | +100000 |
The French opened Euro 2020 with the swagger we have come to expect from the world champions, and an emphatic away win in Moldova (4-1) was followed by a 4-0 hammering of Iceland in the Stade de France. They look imperious and even with Turkey opening with two wins themselves, Les Bleaus look certain to win the group with plenty to spare.
Euro 2020 Qualifying Group I Odds
| Team | Euro 2020 Group I Odds |
|---|---|
| Belgium | -1200 |
| Russia | +600 |
| Scotland | +2800 |
| Cyprus | +8000 |
| Kazakhstan | +25000 |
| San Marino | +50000 |
Belgium was another of Europe’s elite to start their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign with two wins from two, with the opening victory being against their biggest rivals for the group’s top spot, Russia.

With Scotland – third favorites in the group – losing disastrously in Kazakhstan and only narrowly beating San Marino and Russia already three points adrift, there looks little to prevent the Belgians from winning this one comfortably.
Euro 2020 Qualifying Group J Odds
| Team | Euro 2020 Group J Odds |
|---|---|
| Italy | -600 |
| Bosnia-Herzegovina | +600 |
| Greece | 750 |
| Finland | +2500 |
| Armenia | +10000 |
| Lichtenstein | +100000 |
After having missed out on the 2018 World Cup Finals, Italy will be desperate not to miss out on the Euro 2020 final stages and have made a great start. Home wins over Finland and Lichtenstein have seen them take charge of the group and we expect them to justify their status as Group J favorites.
